Koi
Mt. Parnell Fisheries offers single-tailed and fantail types of goldfish Carassius auratus. Koi Cyprinus carpio are also offered in the traditional and butterfly (longfin) varieties. Besides goldfish and koi, we offer rosy red minnows Pimephales promelas, ornamental catfish Ictalurus punctatus, and bullfrog tadpoles Rana catabiensa.
Koi are offered at Mt. Parnell in the regular and butterfly (longfin) types in two grades: standard and select.
The standard grade of Mt. Parnell koi have been culled at least twice, possibly more depending on size, and will include a mixture of the color varieties.
Select koi are our premium grade and have been culled several times more than the standard grade.
Requests for specific color varieties of koi will result in pricing for the select grade. Koi will be offered from 3-20", but select grade fish are not offered below 5". Typical color varieties of Mt. Parnell koi may include: Sanke, Kohaku, Shiro Bekko, Platinum Ogon, Shusui and Karasu.
